Sub-title

"Education must enable young people to effect what they have recognised to be right, despite hardships, despite dangers, despite inner scepticism, despite boredom, and despite mockery from the world."

Kurt Hahn, UWC Founder

UWC Changshu China opened in September 2015, is located on the banks of Kuncheng lake of Changshu, a city nationally recognised for its rich cultural heritage. Students from 99 nations and territories gathered at the school to embark on a journey in pursuit of peace and sustainable future. UWC Changshu China offers two-year IB Diploma Programme (DP) and a one-year Pre-DP preparatory programme as well as an extensive range of experiential learning and community service activities.

In the new 2016-2017 academic year 443 students from 99 countries and regions will benefit from UWC’s transformational learning experience of explicitly promoting international understanding, sustainability, social responsibility, community service and Chinese language and culture. It’s this diversity which catalyses our students to become engaged and motivated change agents, committed to making the world a better place.

At UWC up to 75% of our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme students receive either full or partial scholarships, underpinning our wide socio-economic diversity. At UWC Changshu currently 68% of our IBDP students are offered various levels of scholarships.

Your generosity ensures these courageous young people will continue to receive a transformational education that enables them to make a positive difference in the world.
